THE EVENT
Join us for an inspiring evening with renowned athletes and professionals as we celebrate women in sport and raise funds for Cure Leukaemia.

Hi, I’m Angela and in 2023, I cycled 500km from London to Paris with 8 friends from Wallingford Rowing Club, raising £23,000 for Cure Leukaemia after a fellow crew member’s 8-year-old son was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia.
This summer, I aim to ride all 9 stages of the Women’s Tour de France, just a day ahead of the professional peloton, with a target to raise £10,000 for the Aticus clinical trials network for children battling blood cancer.
This special fundraising evening will showcase some of the most inspiring moments in women’s sport through the eyes of our esteemed guest speakers: Miriam Luke MBE, Felicity Ashley, and Dr. Lucy Thomas.
Through personal stories and reflections, we will explore the challenges they faced, the triumphs they celebrated, and how sport has shaped their careers.
We will also delve into the significant role of sport in health and well-being.
Enjoy a Bucks Fizz reception, followed by a two-course meal with wine, and an engaging conversation between our guests, led by cycling author and influencer Amy Hudson.

With an international rowing career spanning a decade, she has dedicated 40 years to the sport and was awarded an MBE in 2023 for her contributions to women’s rowing.
